For the Whitechapel Gallery Centenary 2001, I, and artist Sharon Beavan, were commissioned to create a linocut 4metres x 3 metres.
Local stories and lore were collected, the areas rich history and landmarks were all referenced in this vast, magnificent work printed by hand on Japanese tissue.
